Fender Innovations is a young and dynamic company developing and producing patented fender systems for maritime transport.
In 2012 at Seawork International, we received the Innovations Showcase in the category Vessel Design & Construction. From that moment on, Fender Innovations has gone through an extensive growth. At this point Fender Innovations has a large and diverse customer base, ranging from manufacturers of superyachts to the biggest shipping companies worldwide with mostly specialized and specific requests and orders.
We are looking for a passionate, driven and critical technical draftsman / planner to supplement our team.
Your tasks include, inter alia:
- The preparation and production of work drawings and preparation workbooks;
- The measuring and preparation of projects on the location;
- The calculation of constructions, both dimensions and load;
- The making of price calculations for projects;
- Transferring work drawings at the work floor correctly with attention for details;
- Monitoring production based on the drawings complemented with knowledge acquired in the meantime, and intervention/adjustment in the production whenever necessary.
Requirements:
- MBO / HBO or MTS / HTS Shipbuilding, engineering or equivalent proven experience;
- Experience with Autocad and/or Rhinoceros, recent versions;
- Experience in marine technology is a plus;
- Possession of driving license B/E;
- Perfect mastery of the English language (spoken and written);
- Other languages (German, Spanish, Italian) are an advantage.
As planning engineer you need extended knowledge of both the materials and the work field in which we operate, as well as great problem solving skills. Besides that a hands-on, pro-active, responsible and motivating mentality, and great social and communicative skills are essential.
