In June of 2014 Shoreline Marine Fabrication won a government tender to design, construct and supply two 10 metre coastal/inshore mono-hull patrol vessels.
The new purpose built vessels are being designed and built to undertake a wide variety of tasks within a specialised range of inshore policing requirements under all weather conditions.
Shoreline Marine Fabrications design proposal for the WA Water Police has been based on a successful range of commercial vessels developed over a 22 year association with director Brad Moseley and Naval Architect, Jim Wilshire.
The unique design for the vessels incorporates the latest developments in hull design which will give improved speed, efficiency and operator comfort at sea and at rest. The innovative fender system concept used is a first of its kind in Australia and is built by Fender Innovations.
The first of the two vessels was launched in January 2015 and the second launched and delivered to the WA Police in February 2015.
