The Royal Navy has officially welcomed 'Madfox', a new autonomous vessel, into its fleet. NavyX, the navy's experts in getting technology to the frontline of operations quickly, will now put the L3Harris vessel through its paces and get it ready for future missions.
Named Madfox or Maritime Demonstrator For Operational eXperimentation, it is derived from technology firm L3Harris Mast-13 vessel, which for the past 18 months has been operated by Defence Science and Technology Laboratory on a series of trials with the Royal Navy.
